Archive or Delete Products

Archive or delete products in your Shopify account effectively.

TL;DR

Archive a product
Click Products, select the product, and choose Archive Product.

Unarchive a product
Go to the product, click More Actions, and select Unarchive Product.

Click SIM, select More Actions, then Delete Product.

Let's Do It Together!

Step 1: Archive a Product

  1. Click on Products in your Shopify dashboard.

  2. Select the product you wish to archive, for example, test product.

  3. In the Product settings, locate the More Actions button at the upper right and click on it.

  4. From the dropdown, select Archive Product.

  5. Confirm the action by clicking the Archive Product button in the pop-up.

The product is now archived and hidden from your website.

Step 2: Unarchive a Product

  1. Go back to the archived product in your Shopify account.

  2. Click on the More Actions button at the upper right.

  3. Select Unarchive Product to restore it.

Step 3: Delete a Product

  1. Click on the SIM button at the upper right.

  2. Choose More Actions and select Delete Product.

  3. Confirm your decision, remembering that deletion is permanent.

  4. Any media associated with this product will also be deleted.

  5. Click on the Delete Product button to finalize.

The product is now deleted from your Shopify account.

FAQ

Can I recover a deleted product?
No, once deleted, a product cannot be recovered.
What happens to media when I delete a product?
Any media used only by the product will also be deleted.
